Fundraising You can help 1st Hersham raise essential funds and be in with a cash prize yourself, by taking part in the Elmbridge Community Lottery! Details here. On top of this, our Scout Troop runs occasional fundraising events, to enables them to provide an adventurous programme that is accessible to all. Regular highlights include: Hersham Trees – we sell premium quality Christmas trees, with free delivery to our local area, plus we’ll recycle trees in the New Year. Orders are taken from the start of November each year. Hersham Festival – for one weekend each July we host the Hersham Festival, a combination of live music, stand-up comedy, huge varieties of food and drink and (hopefully) plenty of sunshine too! The Comedy Works – occasional live stand-up comedy hosted at The Playhouse in Walton-on-Thames. As well as raising money for their own adventures, our Troop has raised money for several other charities, both local and overseas.
